This upbeat dance song is possibly Sabrina's most mature and inspirational piece to date. On a Periscope livestream, Sabrina described the process of writing the song: "This song was one of the earlier songs I wrote on this album and inspired by real life events, real life feelings. It's so funny too because I find this song relates to me at so many moments at my life; or like if someone's getting too close to me I just start singing 'Space'. It's really a great song. Comes in handy a lot." "Space" is lyrically ambiguous, giving it a double meaning of needing space from people trying to pry into your life, and the broader message of Sabrina wanting a sense of privacy from the media in her life.
