Eyes Wide Open is Sabrina's debut album, debuting at #43 on the Billboard Hot 200 Albums chart, #31 on the US Billboard Album Sales chart, and #14 on the US Billboard Digital Albums chart. The album sold 12,000 copies in its first week alone. This album builds off of her first and only LP, Can't Blame a Girl for Trying, including all four songs on that LP and eight new songs. The album was recorded between 2013 and 2015. Two singles were released from the album: "We'll Be the Stars" on January 13, 2015 and "Eyes Wide Open" on April 7, 2015. The album was noted for featuring a country-pop sound likened to that of Taylor Swift's early work. According to Sabrina, "Darling I'm a Mess" was the first song to be recorded on the album in 2015. Sabrina's favorite lyric on the album is "Everybody loves to tell me / I was born an old soul." Sabrina has publicly stated that the album is about love and friendship, as well as "being a non-perfect girl." In particular, "Seamless" is about Sabrina's friendship with Rowan Blanchard.
