"Almost Love" is described by Sabrina as a song that exudes confidence that she had never felt prior to writing the song, which made her want to "get up and dance." Lyrically, the song is about a relationship that Sabrina wants to happen, but the interaction never goes beyond surface-level. A music video was released on July 12, 2018. It was directed by Hannah Lux Davis and filmed at the Pasadena Museum of History. At first, Sabrina did not like the production of the song, but later grew quite fond of it and felt it fit the song perfectly.

It is the first single from Singular Act I, and Sabrina's highest charting song to date, climbing to #21 on the Mediabase Pop Radio chart and getting an iHeartRadio On The Verge deal, prompting radio stations to give the song heavier airplay.
